I’m trying to find a good first dance song for my wedding next year. I’m finding this the most stressful part of the wedding!!! HELP!
(all of “our songs” aren’t appropriate wedding songs)

I’m not really sure yet what song we are using but i do know that is going to be in spanish we are both of spanish descent and speak fluent spanish. Mostly all of our family only speaks spanish so we decided to have a spanish songs.
I agree with you that it is a very stressful part of the wedding. My advice to you is to google wedding first dance songs and see what you find.
One song that is beautiful and we were planning on using but it’s in english is “for you” by kenny lattimore the words to this song is just beautiful.
Also “endless love” by mariah carey and luther vandross is also a very beautiful song
good luck and congratulations
If you are looking for an “everybody get up” kind of song, we used Celebration by Kool and the Gang.
My husband and I were supposed to have danced our first dance to Colbie Caillat’s Bubbly. Unfortunately, there were technical difficulties, but that is my song for him and we still love it.
“Love Will Keep Us Alive” by the Eagles. We liked the lyrics and it’s a slow rock rumba, so we could dance to it.
We don’t really have a song, because we don’t dance, except at ceilis. We’re torn at the moment for what we’ll do.
We are thinking “When I’m 64″ (Beatles), or possibly something by the Eagles (“Nothing Else Matters” is the front runner). “Anthem” by Leonard Cohen was considered, but we have just let it fall by the wayside – I guess it just doesn’t really speak to us.
The closest thing we have to a song is a specific dance, “The Gay Gordons” it’s generally done to “Scotland the Brave”/”Mhari’s Wedding”, we’re debating doing that. It depends on how willing we are to completely shock all the relatives.
The Power of Love by Celine Dion
