What do they call those wedding dresses that change into party dress for reception (detatch?)?

Hi I just want to know what do they call those wedding dresses that start as a traditional long dress for the ceremony then can have a part of it taken off to make a party dress? (shorter)
And where do you get them from? Is there a specific name for them?
I think Roxy Mitchell had one from Eastenders? lol
Thanks guys

I just googled “convertible wedding dress” and “convertible wedding gown” and I got a bunch of pictures and sites for what I think you are looking for. So try searching using those terms.

You could also look into dresses with detachable trains, so they are long for the ceremony, but the train comes off, but the overall dress is still floor length, just not with fabric/the train trailing behind you or pinned up all night.

    Best Wishes!

If the above searches don’t work try break away gown or break away trains.

Otherwise, call a bridal shop and ask what they’re called.

just a detachable train I guess. Mary’s Bridal sells quite a few dresses with detachable trains.

They’re actually called detachable wedding gown… or detachable dress.

They are few and far between, and very hard to find.

Here are some regular dresses that do the same thing…

I think you are looking for a convertible wedding dress or a wedding dress with a detachable skirt.

They are difficult to find, but here are a few:
