Hey. I like the black and silver best out of those. But if it were me I would have to say emerald green and ivory.

I like the black and silver, especially with it being new years eve. you could also add another accent color like a dark teal or something like that.

i would understand why he doesn’t like the pink and creme, pink and brown, and baby blue and silver.. but I think black and silver would be perfect for your wedding.

Well I’ve only been to 2 weddings but both had really great color schemes! The first one was a black and white theme and all the bridesmaids had black cocktail dresses on and it looked really great!

Most men know nothing about weddings. Okay, there may be one or two grooms out there who are interested . . . but the vast majority could care less.

You like the black and silver, so go with the black and silver. That sounds nice and festive, good for your New Year’s Eve wedding.

Now, go look for black and silver ideas at the Knot.

personally i had him chose a color then i chose a color. i ended up choosing both though. i chose baby blue for him because it’ll bring out his eyes and he loved that i thought about that lol and i chose red for my girls because i loved their dresses in red so it ended up being red white and blue lol. and it’s 2 weeks after july 4th and we’re having fireworks.

i’d pick a color for him then a color for you.

go to marthastewart.com she has wedding inspiration ideas on there for colors.

Pink and creme. Make sure it is something that the groom-to-be will like as well, though…………………maybe pink and silver instead?

  15. Holly says:

We went with blush pink and silver. It turned out really beautiful.

I Also Like The Black & Silver.
It’s Simple But Still Has Elegance To It.

My Wedding Colours Are Going To Be Dark Purple, Black & Silver.
    =)

  17. Indiana says:

maybe you could ask him what colors he likes instead of asking him to pick from your list.

If you are getting married on New Year’s Eve then I think a Black and Grey (or Silver) would be wonderful.

  19. Firebreather says:

MEN DON’T CARE! The weddings I am planning right now one is black and purple. The other is black and lilac. Not much of a difference.

But the Black and silver is a good idea for new years eve. kinda festive. But do you want to look at your wedding pictures in a few years with your children and have one of your children ask “Mom you and Dad looked so cute at that New Years Eve party?”

Find out what his favorite color is and what your favorite color is and make them match that way. It shows more of the two of you. In these days and times it’s not as it was many years ago, basically it was the woman that did 99% of all the work to get ready. If you are getting married to someone that will be your partner for life then you both should be involved. Tell him to get on the ball this is the 21st century not the 19th. It’s his wedding day to.

Most men don’t really care much about the details like the colors. He probably wants to leave it to you to pick :) I saw a wedding that did pink, brown, and cream and it was really really pretty.

Is your wedding new years eve at night? If so, and it was me, I would choose midnight blue (Like really dark, but not quite black) and silver. And use a lot of stars in my decorations. Simple midnight blue bridesmaid gowns with silver jewelery.

  21. A Random Person says:

either baby blue and silver or black and silver.

  22. Iyla says:

since its on new years eve the black and silver or the baby blue and silver would be best…. Or you could have black, baby blue and silver.. I think that would look really pretty together, you have more options with more colors..Good luck!!!

  23. Happy says:

black and silver because those were my colors :) along with white and the odd pop of red. Everyone looks gorgeous with those staple colors and it makes for very classy and elegant decor

  24. miss_bowen says:

    Black and silver.

    Very elegant

  25. My thoughts says:

Pink and cream sounds like it would look quite washed out. I hate the idea of brown in a wedding with any other colour.

Baby blue and silver would be interesting if you are looking for a cold and icy looking theme.

Black and silver is probably the most versatile, especially since the wedding is New Year’s Eve.

  26. MissM91 says:

Black and silver…maybe with a little purple, baby blue or light pink thrown in there.

  27. Jenna says:

    Black and silver

  28. Allie says:

Well have you asked him what HE likes, not us? He has to wear the tux and he is part of the wedding, remember? Let him have some input.
