Go to davidsbridal.com and look at the dresses there. I bought a dress for larger women because I have a large chest. It is a beautiful halter dress. I would go and look for new dresses first. They have dresses on sale all the time from $99 and up. Mine was only $350.00! Here are a few styles you can try:

This one is beautiful on..you look like a princess in it

This one is absolutely gorgeous in person!

There are a ton more to look at! Good luck!

I agree that a halter will look good on u. Just pick a dress that is of just the right size for you. Do not go too tight, nor too loose. All u need is to be happy n your confidence will shine through.
There is nothing wrong with buying a used wedding dress. If you think that a marriage can be made or broken by a dress, then you are not ready for marriage.

Superstitions are just that – superstitions. It takes a lot more to make a marriage work out than a “new” wedding dress. The dress doesn’t matter. Just make sure you love it – it won’t matter where it comes from. Congratulations and good luck!

“Short and chubby” = stay away from dresses that are too poofy, try smoother fabrics like taffeta and satin. The extra poof will just make you look heavier. Look for dresses at davids bridal or house of brides to find good deals, they have affordable dresses, w/out having to buy a used dress. But I don’t think I would worry about superstitions, they are lame. Here are some affordable dresses that are not too costly.

If the groom can wear a rented tux or suit, the bride can wear a previously worn dress!

Superstition is there so you’ll fork out big bucks for a dress!

If the previously worn dress fits you, you feel good in it, then hey, go for it!
