Wedding Day at Troldhaugen – Edvard Grieg

Wedding Day at Troldhaugen (Norwegian: Bryllupsdag på Troldhaugen) is one of the best known pieces from “Lyric Pieces” (Norwegian: Lyriske stykker) by Edvard Grieg. Sorry for my small errors. Im not a professional piano player :) I’ve been critisized for playing the middle part to fast and I agree with that. Sorry! I hope to do it slower next time :) NOTE: I KNOW I PLAY THE MIDDLE SECTION TO FAST. PLEASE FORGIVE ME, AS I LEARNED THIS PIECE BY MYSELF.

    jizz hahaha

TOO FAST! Couldn’t even enjoy it… You learned it well but needs more dinamics.

Like a diamond, it needs to be worked on, but all the good stuff’s there already.

Amazing, the wind symphonic version is also great

    Magnificent.

I like the idea to play the measures 32-39 without pedal. That gives a very interesting interpretation.
BUT: In measure 29, the left hand is supposed to play B NATURAL, not b flat. That means, there’s not e flat major, but an augmented chord b – e flat – g.

    that looks hard

  11. krisspaddy says:

I cant believe thats a Yamaha. Sounds more like a Spencer.
Forgive me if I’m wrong. Not crisp enough for a Yam – unless it needs re-stringing desperately.

Great job on the notes, but it was all one dynamic. It needs flavor. But great job.

    Very good. I enjoyed it.

I was wondering, what tempo should this song be? Starting my third week, I play the first and last sections at about 120-125. That seems like the tempo you’re going but I’m not sure…

  15. biokemiker says:

    @marcusvaldes I think it was a yamaha

  16. manise29 says:

@biokemiker what type of piano are you playing?

  17. DesertFly3 says:

You play wonderfully. Pay no heed to those who say that you are playing it “wrong”. As long as you get the notes correct, the tempo and dynamics are YOUR interpretation of it. If you feel the middle section should be played at a fast speed, by all means, do so. It’s YOUR performance.

  18. taw210 says:

I’m learning this now (1st week!) and I can barely keep up with you just by looking at the music! You are very good! =D

  19. biokemiker says:

@marcusvaldes oh I forgot, that was for more than 3 years ago I played on that piano. I think it was a yamaha

  20. marcusvaldes says:

What is the model piano you are playing on?

  21. muchachofree2009 says:

good! but….. its neccesary adjust the tempo. you are running in this piece. and its neccesary moooore expression, no like a robot. thanks!

  22. zinchel says:

1st part – is quite well-done, but 2d, believe me, is not how it should be, 2 play the whole peace needs brains and smth inside, can not explain it, you just only can feel it, the 2d part of this piece is uniq, so tender, like ‘enchanted by beauty and kisses’….
And to whole piece it is required more accutacy….Tempo di Marcia!!! un poco vivace, doesn’t mean allegro or presto….
Accuracy in this piece is the most important thing, ye….)

  23. mooobtube says:

@themightysheepster Yes, this is the full version.

  24. rennebu2 says:
