So I plan on getting married on August 11, 2012 to my fiance and we just started looking at venues and so far everything that we have seen is out of our price range. So far the cheapest we found for plating is $39 a plate and everything has alcohol added into their prices but we don’t want any type of alcohol to be served because my family is full of alcoholics and we as a couple don’t believe in drinking. I was just wondering if now a days if there is anything for less than $39 dollars a plate and how much quotes could go down if we don’t have “drinks”. Also any suggestions on low budget places in the Detroit-metro area? Thanks

Honestly, I have trashed a dress before, as a bridesmaid at a wedding reception. We all, including the bride, jumped in a swimming pool. It was a fun time, thanks to the open bar!! Now, how many of us would allow a dress that has meant so much to us, bridesmaids this might not apply!!:), sell our dress to someone who would trash it for art??

There will be about 30 people going, and we are catering and decorating ourselves, though we’ll need to buy flowers, white roses. It’ll be at a small church so we don’t need to go heavy on the decorations, and a friend’s band offered to play for free. How much would you expect the whole thing to cost?

I’m getting married Nov. 1st and a friend of my fiance’s family said as our wedding gift she is going to pay/do all our flowers (yippy)! She has been asking about what flowers do I want in mine and my bridesmaids bouquets. I have no idea?! I know my colors are apple red, silver and white.
