I am in search of a Nice “barn” that could be rented out for a wedding reception. I have run into nothing but dead ends, but I am determined to find what I’m looking for. If anyone knows of an unlisted venue, or someone who may be willing to rent out their barn, please let me know.
Okay, I’m a big girl (from a 20-22 depending where I shop). I’m getting married December 15, 2011.
I’m not delusional, and I know from prior attempts that, chances are, no matter how hard I try, I’m not losing much of that weight, so I’d like to know a site or store that I could check out that has a unique, edgy style (my wedding colors are gonna be white, black, and red).
I’m curious.
I read all these things about how much folks go through to make their wedding different and unique and special, but in the end what do your guests really remember? if the food was good, if the entertainment was good, and if you provided the booze for them.
I realize that the couple is different and perhaps there are different foods or venues, but weddings on their own are pretty cookie-cuter, don’t you think?
Do you really think all your nitty-gritty planning is going to make your day stand out differently from anyone else’s wedding that your guests attended?
Again, this is a curious thing, not bashing anyone, I’m just wondering what you think.
So my brother is getting married in August and I’m looking for a unique dress to wear (I’m not in the wedding, just attending). Nothing too fancy. I like to dress unique. I love the dresses on modcloth.com (that vintage, retro, indie look) but a lot of them are quite short and I’m trying to see if there is more out there along those lines. I love Bohemian type stuff (not stupid 13 year old bohemian, REAL bohemian), 70s, hippie throwback . . . I love feathers and just really unique designs and what not.
I’m 5″3 and 160 pounds, so curvier. And I have a larger chest, but I don’t mind showing it off ( a little bit).
So if anyone knows of any cool stores (near Portland, OR area) or any cool online sites let me know!
