i’m invited to a bridal shower and wasnt given ANY info on gift registries, themes, etc. What is the etiquette

I don’t want to be rude and assume i can hunt down their registry online, like a gift stalker, but is that what i should do? the invitation just came with date, time, directions, absolutely nothing related to the gifts. should i bring a gift i find on a registry or should i pick something else that i think is a nice gift and leave the registry for the wedding gifts?

Ideas on wedding themes/ colors?

I’m about to plan a wedding and haven’t got a clue! I’m not the best with designing and what not. The wedding is in the summer, and I do love bright summer colors but the wedding is in a church,so will summer colors look bad in a church? I also love brown/neutral colors, but don’t want a pale wedding, you know. And red with red roses is not an option because my sister just got married with those colors. All ideas would be amazing and greatly appreciated!

What were the best and worst wedding themes you’ve seen?

Just a random little survey. Please don’t preach about..”Oh, it was their choice blah blah blah. We all have our preferences blah blah don’t judge blah BLAH.”

The best that I have seen was a whimsical-themed wedding at a california vineyard. The reception was during sunset and all you could see for miles, on the trees, were these tiny box kites with candles in them. I loved this wedding because it was one of the most gorgeous I had attended with the least money spent.

The worst I have attended was a Super Bowl XLI themed wedding. The funny thing was that it was the bride’s choice to have that theme and the groom looked miserable throughout. He probably wasn’t a Colts fan:)

How can I have a classy wedding with 3 different themes?

I am getting married in 2 years, and although that leaves me a lot of time to plan and save i’m already freaking out. I’ve always wanted a big memorable wedding. And since I am a theatre geek I have tons of ideas, I’m just not sure how to sort them out. I have 3 different themes in mind.

Fairy tales (like disney and such)
Fantasy (witches, faeries, nymphs, just magical things)
Masquerade (phantom of the Opera-ish

I really have no idea how to fix these out without them looking hokey and childish. so any insight anyone can give will be helpful

thanks so much
