totally lost planning my wedding!!!?

Ok so we have picked a date: August 21st 2010
We want something more casual and less traditional.
I do not want a big white dress….maybe white, but something summery and flowy not fancy and expensive.
We want it outside.
We want something small, 50 people max. just immediate family and close friends.
I want nice white chairs and colourful flowers.
Maybe one of those cute white arch things with flowers entwind into it.
We are NOT religious, but we do want someone to marry us, just nothing religious.
We plan to have a ceremony, and a potluck type BBQ or dinner afterwards.
Bring Your Own Booze
We do not want expensive wedding rings. No more than $300 each.

I am in desperate need of knowing how to go about planning this wedding!!! How much money do you estimate I will need to save up. I have about $2000 saved up already. We do not want to go over $5000, does that sound feesable? I’m so lost here!!!

Also everyone will be buying their own dress’s.
I live in Ontario Canada….just so everyone knows…incase you have suggestions on stores or locations!

what are the procedure of planning a small wedding?

do i talk to wedding planning ? any advice would be appreciate.

thanks

What is one thing you learned about planning a wedding?

While planning your wedding, what did you discover was a myth? We have so many ideas about weddings and how they should go, but many people find out things they didn’t know about wedding planning.

Thanks! :)

What are the wedding planning steps?

I have to save one thousand more dollars and then my fiance and I will have 4 thousand dollars to spend on a wedding. We are still going to save though so we can pay for other things as we go. I want to get married sometime next year.

What is a good timeline for wedding planning? What are the steps? Thanks!

The more wedding planning I do the less important all of it seems?

When I first started thinking about it, I wanted the whole 9 yards..nice venue, nice decorations, everything but now that I’m planning it I feel like all that is pointless and the only fancy thing I want is a good dress, good food and a good photographer.

But I’m worried that may be just because its easier to plan and afterwards I’ll wish I did it big.

What do you think?

What is your favorite wedding planning website?

Why do you like it? Do they have a good (and realistic) planning checklist?
