How much is a reasonable amount of money to spend if you are a bridesmaid? I’m having 4 maids, they all have different price points. So, it’s hard to determine what is reasonable.

I’m having the girls pay for their own dresses, shoes, etc. I’m letting them make their decision about their hair and makup. But, since I know these girls. I know they will have it professionally done.

Do, I have to consider that when I figure in the cost of their attire? I’m giving them the choice.

My boyfriend and I are going to his friend’s wedding, and we already purchased something (sort of expensive) for them out of their registry. He’s a groomsman, and I have also heard that groomsmen traditionally buy an extra gift for the groom. Is this universal? Seems like it would be expecting a lot of money from us/him with a wedding gift, tux rental, travel expenses, AND a groomsman gift.
