8 CommentsI emailed my father’s cousin’s wife the other day to ask about their RSVP to my upcoming wedding, as they had not yet sent in a response. When I sent the invitation to her originally, it said “Mr. and Mrs. Chris Smith”. Etiquette dictates that only the people specifically mentioned on the invite are allowed to come.
She responded to my (very polite) email with “yes there will be 6″.
My guest list can’t accommodate that many and I didn’t invite six people in the first place!
What is the most polite response there is, telling her that, while I am happy she is coming, my guest list is tight and she can only RSVP for 2?
