My wedding is going to be in the spring. I have been a bridesmaid several times and my closet is full of dresses I never will wear again. Since my wedding is going to be formal (sit down dinner, beautiful venue) but informal in some ways I want to find a dress for my girls that WILL be used again. Since is spring i want them wearing cotton or poplin dress, airy, strapless and at the knees with ballet flats. Something they can wear again to go with the movies when you throw a cardigan over or something.
All the places I find the dresses are either chiffon or taffeta… what is the obsession with those two fabrics is beyond me, but I am not putting those girls in Taffeta or chiffon. So where can I find bridesmaid dresses that are in cotton or poplin?
I would look at regular stores like macy’s or nordstrom but the problem is that the color selection is very limited, whereas Bridesmaids stores have bunch of colors to choose from.
Help?!

I am looking to find a quality wedding planner in the LA area. Can anyone recommend me sites or forums that I can use to find consensus opinion on good planners or recommendations on good planners? Thanks!
