My bridesmaid and best friend of nearly 5 years did not get us a wedding gift or even a card to say congratulations which would have meant the world to me. She states that she is in financial hardship due to purchasing a house which I totally understand. However, I don’t think it’s appropriate to go without congratulating the newlyweds in some way, big or small. Honestly, even if she just said congratulations, it would have been awesome. I don’t care about a physical object gift, just the thought that counts you know? So, as of right now, she thinks I’m OK with it, but after thinking about it more, I’m not. How do I approach her about this and what is everyone’s opinion on this situation?
