Make-up and Hair Tips for a Wedding?

I am going to a wedding in August and I have the dress and everything picked out, but I am not sure about what hair and makeup I should do. The dress is red, knee length, and ties at the neck (it sort of looks like a turtleneck, but it ties at the back). My shoes are going to be silver, and my bag matches the shoes. Could anyone recommend some good hair and makeup tips for the dress and overall style that would match? I was thinking of putting my hair up. Suggestions would be great. Thanks!
And if it helps, I am Chinese, 5’9″, slender, and I have long black hair with bangs in the front. Thanks! =D

Maybe for hair just wave/curl your hair, leave it down. Well…keep the bangs straight or slightly curled.

For make-up I recommend getting Carmindy’s book called “The 5-Minute Face.” There’s a look for weddings and one for asians. It’s really helpful! I use the asian and brunette sections mostly. She really knows what she’s doing so I really encourage getting that book.

    Hope I helped! =)

You answered your question to the makeup already :)
You have a red dress and silver accesories therefore silver is the eyeshadow color you should use. Try a shimmery silver eyeshadow with some bright red lipstick to compliment your black hair and red dress (red lipstick looks very complimenting to black hair). If it weren’t a silver eyeshadow, I’d tell you to wear some volumizing mascara but that’d take out the whole purpose of the eyeshadow so try no mascara and possibly a little bit of light, maybe dark, gray eyeliner, lightly on the top lashline only. If you have undertones or freckles, then I wouldn’t recommend blush or foundation b/c it’d look weird (I have both and I don’t look good with anything that goes on my face such as blush, powder etc. b/c my skin is sort of uneven skin tone and with undertones, you have built in blush :) but if not then I’d recommend some rosy red blush.
For the hair, if it’s straight, wear it down and push the bangs to the sides that way you have a space in the middle of your forehead. I wouldn’t wear any hair accesories unless it’s a small, white clip on flower, otherwise it’d make everything look cheap. I hope this helps! :)

    - Black eyeliner along the lash line only (not on the bottom lid)
    - Extend it a little past the ourter corner of the eye
    - Black mascara on top lashes only
    - Curl eyelashes
    - Charcoal eye shadow
    - Silver highlight color below the brow
    - Blend these two colors lightly where they meet
    - VERY little silver eyeshadow around the inner corner of your eyes and below bottom lashline
    - VERY little white eyeliner within the bottom inner corner of your eye, extended a little towards the lashes
    - Light foundation
    - LIGHT blush
    - Blend of reddish and/or brightish pink lip stick
    - Add a dab of shiny lipGLOSS in the center of your bottom lip to make it pop

    - A simple but elegant updo
    - Leave the hair straight, but curl some sections
    - Maybe brush your bangs to one side.
