I went to a party last weekend and took home the leftover sushi tray on the serving table, it had only been out for two or three hours, its been in my fridge for about a week, is it ok to serve it at my daughters wedding rehearsel dinner Friday night? I’m not a sushi person myself, but thought it would be great for the dinner because my future son in law loves it.

Googling for Wedding Stuff

It’s probably safe as long as the original sushi was safe.
But it won’t be very good.
Kinda cheap.
Get some fresh stuff.
probably not…smell it….but i would not risk it at all especially the night before the wedding bad idea…call the chinese place up and order some…..my grocery store (wegmans) has great sushi you can buy…..Fish does not keep long…you could always try n make some
The answer is absolutly NOT. I can see that your not a sushi person …he he he
Seriously, fish needs to be fresh..(or frozen directly after being caught) to use for sushi. Leaving it in the fridge for a week is a sure way to make people sick, not to mention the foul smell and taste. You guests will think your a dummy…. or worse thery might think you just dont care about them. Sushi is a nice idea for the guests but I suggest you feed the old stuff to your cat and go to the Fish market befiore the party. Gud Luck.
While I doubt it would make anyone sick, it wouldn’t be very good The nigiri (seaweed part) will be soft and rubbery and the flavors will probably be all mixed and the veggies not crisp and crunchy. If it were my daughter getting married I would buy fresh…
I would only do this if you don’t really like your son in law. Even cooked food should be disposed of after three hours on a serving table. Texas law says that 4 hours is the maximum.
If any of the sushi had any contamination, it would have flourished in those 3 hours at room temp. No tellng what it may be doing now.
If you would like to demonstrate your affection for your son-in law, why don’t you run by a sushi restaurant and get a few rolls on your way to the event. It will let him know you care.
And he’ll be able to walk down the aisle without vomiting on Saturday!
dont take chances Sushi is cheap go buy fresh
i wouldn’t do it, especially if it was leftover to begin with!! If it is raw, It’s definately bad by now, and if it’s california rolls (cooked crab or shrimp) you’re still taking a chance. If you want to do something really good, take boneless skinless chicken tenderloins, or breasts(cut in strips), and marinate them overnight in zesty italian dressing, whatever is on sale, overnight. then take salted roasted cocktail peanuts and put them in a food processor and high speed chop– while adding SLOWLY- whatever kind of oil you like , I just use vegg oil, but as you slowly add oil, pause periodicly, to add cayenne pepper, about a teaspoon per large can of nuts, till soupy peanut butter consistancy. then either grill the strips, or broil, or even bake (at high temp), prefferably on skewers. there ya have it dip the chicken sticks in the spicy peanut sause and you have chicken satay -kabobs.(thai)
next –if he likes different food’s– marinate chicken livers in terryaki sauce over night, then take raw bacon-cut in 3 inch pieces, and a few cans of water chestnuts and some scallions. lay the bacon strip down place a sliced water chestnut in the center-place a small piece of liver on the chestnut-place a half inch slice of scallion on the liver, and stick a toothpick through the center once it’s wrapped. Once you do the first one you will be able to glide through the rest, but do a tray(cookie sheet or lasagne pan), @400 for about 20 minutes or till bacon is crisp, not burnt, and there you have the finest rumaki recipe!! and you can make a horseradish sauce as well to dip by adding equall parts mayo, sour cream and horsey till it’s hot, but doesn’t burn the nose, enjoy, you will, and so will your guests love these recipes, but please!!, don’t serve the sushi.
NO
Fish is very perishable. One week is way too long.
Go and buy new sushi.
