Ideas for an Enchanted Forest Wedding Theme???

We have chose an “enchanted forest” theme for our wedding but we need help with ideas. I’m a creative person and could easy make things if not able to find them somewhere. I’d greatly appreciate any ideas you have. Thanks!!!
I was wanting it to look as if you were standing under a canopy of trees while in the reception area. I’m planning on using lots of white chrismas lights hidden in the greenery.

I really like the wood veener ideas. I have been trying to come up with a creative idea for invitations. I scrapbook a lot so it wouldn’t be that difficult to do. I forgot to mention that the wedding and reception site is an octagon shaped room in an old building. the walls are a very dark wood and has carvings on it. So it gives a good background for the theme. The ceiling are two story high and there is a balcony going about 1/3 of the way around on the second floor with a stairway coming down to the first. I think it would be neat to attach tree branches to the balcony and send them hanging over the reception area. And then because the ceiling is white I thought about having blue lights reflecting off of it so that it looks like the night sky when you look up.
The wedding colors are Serene Blue (a darker blue) and Peridot Green. Both have a shimmery feel to them so I was planning on incorporating glitter and hanging butterflies at different heights from the trees above.
