I am on a very limited budget. I would like some ideas for wedding centerpieces. I do not really care for candles but I might be able to change that opinion. No flowers, greenery, plants, or fish. Prefer no water as there will be kids around and I do not want to clean up a huge puddle on my wedding day. Help!!!

at my cousin’s wedding each table was named for
something that was special to them…for example
table number 1 was New York, where they spent
their first trip together
table number 2 was “yes, dear” which was the
joking advice his future father-in-law gave him
as the two best words he’d ever say
each table had simple white cloth covers and
cutlery, plates etc, but it was fun to see what
the ‘title’ for each table was and the photograph
of the happy couple that went with it…..not too
expensive, but very personal and very amusing!
if this doesn’t help, how about providing lots of
little disposable cameras – maybe 2 or 3 to each
table to form a centrepiece so that guests can
take lots of informal photos of the event, some
of them can even go into an album if you like them
that much! again, not terribly expensive, but a very
unique reminder of your day!
whatever you decide to go with, i hope you have a
enjoy!
very happy day, and i wish you all the best for the
future
I think this idea is neat and you could do it in your colors you can check out the website esty for idea also
I went with giant margarita glass, with glass stones inside and I set a floralyte into the stones so they glowed red — one of my wedding colors.
I sat the glass on a mirror and put a candle ring around the base of the glass. Since my wedding was in the fall, I scattered fake leaves around the table.
feel free to take a look at my wedding pics — there are some shots of my centerpieces in there.
you can put a pic of you and your fiance that framed put different pic on each table
or shells and rose peddles go to a dollar store they have some cute things
my aunt was tight on money and what she did instead on getting a photographer is she bought disposable cameras and put them on the tables and everyone would take pics of what they really enjoyed!!! good luck hope i helped!!!
They sell funny cake toppers pretty cheap. They have one where the groom is standing there with a ball and chain attached to his ankle, one where the bride has the groom by the neck of his jacket and dragging him to the alter… They have some pretty funny ones, and you can pick them up fairly cheap because most people don’t buy those ones to put on their wedding cake. They would make great conversation pieces and would be definitely different.
Congratulations!! What is the limited budget?
* Glass vase with pebbles and battery operated fairy lights:
*A game is good fun and keeps children occupied you can keep it on theme or have a different one on each table and hunt them out at charity shops:
I am having a black and white theme so chess or checkers on every table the game pieces will stay in the black bag and have a ribbon/flower tie round the bag
* Edible centre pieces (I know you said no fruit) but would you consider chocolate covered strawberries in a dish?
* Cupcakes
Ill edit if I ca think of more hope I helped
Here’s a cheap idea that will be safe if there are little children around-
Feathers
Reeds
Leaf’s
Glass bowls with glass stones
Rocks
Shells
Clear vases with colored sand
Small metal bird cages ( the decorative type)
Colored glass balls
Baskets
Pine cones
Small statues
You may consider a balloon bash. Balloons everywhere. On the tables, on the floors, floating on the ceilings, a balloon arch, etc. Balloons are very festive, and very, very inexpensive. Tied with curling ribbon, they can look very fancy and festive. And the children you mentioned will love them and entertain themselves by playing with them. You might even have someone do balloon animals for the kids. There are books at the library that make it easy with a little practice.
To use them as a centerpiece. You will need to tie them to a weight and let the strings be long enough so that the balloons float high enough not to obstruct anyone’s view.
For other ideas on spending less, try
driftwood would be nice
You could possibly consider candy centerpieces. Filling bowls with candies of different colors and styles have become a recent trend at many weddings. may also have some good ideas as to what you can use as wedding centerpieces.
