I would order based on your largest area that way you can always have the too big parts taken in. Congrats on getting married!
It may be a good idea to go into a store anyways just to make sure your fit is good and most places offer tailoring too. I have found that on larger women the halter dresses look good (unless your bust is really big, then they are a little uncomfortable) The day is really all about you and your happiness is all that matters - wear what makes YOU comfortable.
Good luck in your search - and again Congratulations!

Go to their size chart and review your measurements and see what size you fall into then find a dress you like and order it one size bigger if you feel uncomfortable. They can order a dress for you, or they may also have one on hand. It is a wedding dress store, of course they do not just sell dresses for one type of person. They get plus sized people all of the time, and are fully equipped to get you what you need. Also, I think you should see a therapist about this problem of yours. Come on, 2.5 years? That's a long time to put off getting married because you are worried about a dress.

Seriously, go to the dress store and have them measure you.
