Hot pink wedding theme in Hawaii! Help!?

Im getting married in Spring of 2010 in Hawaii, where we live… And I need some help! I am having my bridesmaid’s wear a nice light fucshia dress from jcrew in taffetta. Im stumped as to what I should have my groomsman wear?! I wanted to do a hotpink and light pink and also accents of Orange wedding theme… would light orange colored shirts look nice on my groomsman with hot pink bouteniers? Advice? Help?! Any thoughts?!
we’re not doing suits for the groomsman, I want them to wear linen pants, and a nice linen shirt… thinking lighter shade or pink, or a cantaloupe colored shirt… Casual look. My fiance is wearing a linen colored suit, and im wearing Maggie Sottero’s SABELLE dress!
Or a chocolate brown shirt, possibly… and do hot pinks and light pinks with brown, thats nice too!

Come on, don’t make the guys wear pink or orange. Go classic. I know it is a tropical island and beautiful at that. My cousin lives in Honolulu.
But have the guys wear a local flower on their lapel for color-not their clothing.
    Congratulations.

that sounds ok, but if you want a more subtle look just get them to wear their suits with the same colour ties as the girls dresses

I think the colorful theme is pretty neat! I think you might like offbeatbride.com they have some really unique ideas on there. The problem would be actually finding those suits, they seem like an unlikely color for most stores to carry.

However, you might be able to get a cheaper suit rental if you get a light cream suits with tropical flower bouts, like bird of paradise or purple orchids with fuchsia ribbons and pocket squares to match the bridesmaids. Then you could bring in the bright colors with an arch like the one in the above link.

The link below shows you what the pink fushia theme will look like:

Also, the second link shows more ideas listed near the bottom under

The groomsmen are just black and white.

You could always have them wear tuxes with orange shirts and pink bountiniers

I would look around for flowery hawaiin shirts with cream colored khaki pants. That way you can include the pink and orange colors but they can still look “manly” while keeping with your color scheme. If you go with lei’s you can also include the pink and orange colors again. There are lots of idea’s on the internet. Go to davids bridal and check out their Real Weddings link. THere are lots of ideas on youtube as well. Either way you will figure it out and it will be great!! Btw my bridesmaids dresses are azalea pink too. Hmm pink is making a come back LOL

So for my sisters wedding she had fushia & gold and for the groomsmen she had they plain white shirt with white vest and pink tie and the napkin was gold and fushia…simple but cute….maybe you could do something along those lines without having the groomsmen wear pink! congrats on the wedding and hope i helped!!! :)
