In September of 2009, my sister-in-law was married at the Oregon Gardens in Silverton in their “Wedding Garden”. She had asked me to capture some images of the ceremony and the celebration that followed, and of the 200 or so I shot and edited, I used a few dozen to create a slideshow video with music by my brother Matthew, pastor of Deeper Life Fellowship in Portland, Oregon. Matt is a prolific songwriter and keyboard player with a great voice, and a song he had written awhile back, “Ani L’Dodi”, part of which was first penned by Solomon and recorded in the Old Testament, proved to be the best wedding song I had ever heard. I was eager to apply it to the sound track of the video once I had the production finished.
