I was thinking of becoming a wedding planner or an event coordinator?

I am a junior in high school, it’s kinda a risk thinking about being one for the rest of my life, since the economy is terrible, and weddings ain’t that big of a deal, and you would probably have to be amazing to work with celebrities. And most people want to plan their own weddings. But it’s something I have always dreamed about. I am a very organized person, and I love to be creative! I was wondering what classes I should take next year to help, and also what kind of college do I go to? For any wedding planners out there: Do you think it is a good idea in this kind of economy? what’s the best and worst part about your job?

Officials Mark Two-Year Anniversary of Elma Mobile Auto Bureau
Erie County Clerk Kathy Hochul joined Elma Town Supervisor Mike Nolan at Elma Town Hall last week to recognize the second year of auto bureau services delivered directly to customers in the Elma, Marilla, Aurora and Wales communities. The auto bureau’s mobile office at the Town Hall is open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Weekend is Packed with Local Events
East Aurora will be a very busy place during the annual Heritage & Reunion Weekend, which kicks off Fri., July 23 with the Rotary Club’s Reunion Attitude Adjustment Party at Firemen’s Field from 7 p.m. until midnight. Individual graduating classes from East Aurora High School have also planned reunion activities throughout the weekend [See our class reunion page].

Elma Library Plans to Expand

Elma Library Plans to Expand
The Elma Town Library’s board of trustees is finalizing plans to begin the library’s expansion in the next few months. Money from a New York State grant, the Town of Elma and a previous donation to the library will be used to construct a 40-by-30-foot addition and increase the parking lot to 42 spots.
