Chandra decided to have a black tie affair (tux) birthday party similar to a wedding style ceremony. The guest were seated around her (approx. 50). She sat in the front facing the guest as in a wedding. She mentioned to everyone that there was to be a special announcement during the party. No one expected to see her bring in her a former co-worker by the name of Marc, who she sat in front with her. Only 3 out of 50 knew him only because of the work place. During dinner everyone is trying to figure out who is this guy whos in front with her. All speculated as an engagement but only a few had the courage to ask. In an effort to keep the integrity of the april fools joke, Chandra and friend Marc told everyone that they got engaged over the past weekend and they decided to make a formal announcement. This was only mentioned to the people who had the courage to ask since there was a thick tension in the air. They were asked not to say anything.
